POSITION: Line Cook, Prep Cook
REPORTS TO: Executive Chef
STATUS: Hourly – Non-Exempt
These positions are responsible for assisting in receiving and producing food items in the kitchen and preparing food items for kitchen service, cleaning of all kitchen equipment, working the line, helping facilitate plating of food, delivery of food to tables, and dishwashing following health dept guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Completing all tasks, in order, on the prep list from the Head Chef or other kitchen manager
Cleaning all dishes, work stations, cooking equipment, and food storage areas in accordance with food safety regulations
Prepares food items for daily use by washing, chopping, shredding, and grating ingredients for subsequent use by the chef
Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure cleanliness in all areas, adhering to Health Dept. Standards
At least two (2) years of experience in a Food & Beverage environment
Ability to work well as a team with other staff members
Must be results oriented with the ability to meet the required timelines
Must be knowledgeable of and adhere to local health codes
Ability to be creative with food presentations and maintain a high quality product
Have an exceptional attention to detail
Understanding of basic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and ServSafe requirements
This position requires stooping, lifting, walking and standing for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 30lbs on a regular basis.
